There was a time I didn’t know the difference between vegetarian and vegan. Part of the reason was just laziness. Being a diehard carnivore, I didn’t see the need to know, even as I’m a seeker for knowledge for knowledge’s sake. Then one day I looked it up. Well, all this time I’ve believed in the know. Turns out I’m really not.
You see, I was being a little too simplistic. Vegetarian diet means you don’t eat meat but consume animal products such as dairy but vegan diet means you eschew meat and all animal products, but all plant products are okay. What could be simpler than that, right? Not so fast.
