For me, it is not just about healthy recipe, it is a about simple and healthy recipe. It has to be simple (and quick) enough for someone who simply does not have the time nor the inclination for spending hours in the kitchen. Which is why I liked the video below, about a healthy BBQ chicken recipe (not exactly as image above).
The recipe is most suitable for people who workout and wish to maintain a high protein and low carb diet (great for the cutting phase of bodybuilding).
Barbequing is one my favorite ways of cooking as it doesn’t require too much “baby sitting”. I particularly like that the recipe uses lots of different colored peppers, which many experts recommend. Peppers are also good for you as they offer some vitamins as well as antioxidants, and contain compounds that may help in weight loss and pain reduction, according to WebMd.
For those, like me, who like to do things the lazy way, you may substitute fresh herbs such as rosemary and thyme with the dried variety. I wish the presenter would have shown the actual barbecuing of the chicken though, don’t you?
