Vitamins and Mineral Supplements
Many people ask, "Why do I vitamins and mineral supplements when I know I eat healthy everyday?" Many are of the view that all you need is a well-balanced diet to get your required dose of vitamins and minerals. This is simply not so. Why? Read on.
It is a well-known fact: your body and brain need nutrients in order to perform at its optimum level and keep and slow down the aging process. More so if you workout, keep fit or perform tasks that require physical energy. You need macro-nutrients (Protein, Carbohydrates, and fats). You also need micro-nutrients, that is vitamins and minerals.

In fact, how well your burns the macro-nutrients largely depends on your supply essential vitamins and minerals. Unfortunately, our food falls short of providing enough vitamins and minerals. Why?
Because of three main reasons:
- Modern mass-production farming methods have left soil depleted, which in turn compromises nutrients in our food.
- Weeks or even months of storage (even when refrigerated) do take toll on nutritional values, especially on vitamins.
- Environmental pollution and soil degradation have negatively impacted food crops.
It is therefore vitally important to supplement your daily vitamin intake.

The Best Way to Supplement Your Daily Vitamins and Mineral Intake
For most people, supplementing your diet with a good and natural multivitamin will do. This is the simplest and most cost-effective way. What do we mean by "good and natural"?
You see, some multivitamins are usually made from petrochemicals and other substances that can cause serious and irreversible harm to your body in the long term. Others do not even get digested, therefore giving you "false security" as it were, as you're actually getting any benefit from it.
A good multivitamin should ideally be made mainly with natural, organic ingredients. It should also be easy to digest and contain a wide spectrum of micro-nutrients, without some ingredients clashing with each other.
Hi and thanks for the good reviews!! Well needed in today’s saturated and overrated supplement market!! I have a quick question, however. Like you I really prefer the vitamins and minerals I take and recommend for my nutritional clients to be from a whole food rather than synthetic source. When further checking out the brand you mention above I see that it contains a plethora of really great, natural, whole food ingredients. The statement on the product site also says: “What is important is that we do NOT use vitamins which are derived from petrochemicals. Unfortunately many of the mass produced multivitamins / mineral products on the market, are produced from petrochemicals which means that they are only minimally effective.” Unfortunately, however, I cannot find anywhere on the site where they say what their vitamins ARE derived from and the ingredient listing for the multi shows most of the ingredients as being from a synthetic source, other than perhaps the vitamins A and E. The marketing, therefore, is a bit confusing and perhaps even misleading. They state their value for whole food sourced multi-vits but, in fact, seem to still be using largely synthetic vitamins and minerals in a whole food base . . .not the same thing as whole food sourced vitamins and minerals. Can you help me out here? Thanks!!

In their FAQ page they say:
“The biggest differences are in the form of vitamins used. For example, we use only the best natural forms of ingredients. These are the most expensive forms but they provide the best efficacy. They are ‘grown’ rather than being a derivative of petrochemicals.”
