With proper dosage and no caffeine or other stimulants in your system, there has not been an incident someone has been seriously harmed.

Comment on Does Ubiquinol Lower Your Bad LDL Cholesterol? by David http://vitaminsandhealthsupplements.com/1057/does-ubiquinol-lower-your-bad-ldl-cholesterol/#comment-1166 David Mon, 19 Nov 2012 23:58:21 +0000 http://vitaminsandhealthsupplements.com/?p=1057#comment-1166 1. I’m not a doctor and I have in no way indicated I am one. This is not a medical site and we clearly state so (see #6 on this page: http://vitaminsandhealthsupplements.com/disclaimer/).

2. There is one answer to both questions how to know your ubiquinol is being absorbed and how to test for CoQ10 deficiency: request a CoQ10 profile from a doctor/clinic/lab.

3. “Evidence from pharmacokinetic studies suggest that exogenous CoQ10 does not influence the biosynthesis of endogenous CoQ9/CoQ10 nor does it accumulate into plasma or tissues after cessation of supplementation. Overall, these data from preclinical and clinical studies indicate that CoQ10 is highly safe for use as a dietary supplement.” No further explanation needed. Hope all your questions are answered satisfactorily.

Comment on Vitamins and Minerals by David http://vitaminsandhealthsupplements.com/vitamins-and-minerals/#comment-1165 David Mon, 19 Nov 2012 23:37:04 +0000 http://vitaminsandhealthsupplements.com/#comment-1165 In their FAQ page they say:

“The biggest differences are in the form of vitamins used. For example, we use only the best natural forms of ingredients. These are the most expensive forms but they provide the best efficacy. They are ‘grown’ rather than being a derivative of petrochemicals.”

See: http://www.xtend-life.com/product/Multi-Xtra/FAQ.aspx. Hope this answers your question.

Comment on Vitamins and Minerals by Brenda http://vitaminsandhealthsupplements.com/vitamins-and-minerals/#comment-1164 Brenda Sun, 18 Nov 2012 16:25:35 +0000 http://vitaminsandhealthsupplements.com/#comment-1164 Hi and thanks for the good reviews!! Well needed in today’s saturated and overrated supplement market!! I have a quick question, however. Like you I really prefer the vitamins and minerals I take and recommend for my nutritional clients to be from a whole food rather than synthetic source. When further checking out the brand you mention above I see that it contains a plethora of really great, natural, whole food ingredients. The statement on the product site also says: “What is important is that we do NOT use vitamins which are derived from petrochemicals. Unfortunately many of the mass produced multivitamins / mineral products on the market, are produced from petrochemicals which means that they are only minimally effective.” Unfortunately, however, I cannot find anywhere on the site where they say what their vitamins ARE derived from and the ingredient listing for the multi shows most of the ingredients as being from a synthetic source, other than perhaps the vitamins A and E. The marketing, therefore, is a bit confusing and perhaps even misleading. They state their value for whole food sourced multi-vits but, in fact, seem to still be using largely synthetic vitamins and minerals in a whole food base . . .not the same thing as whole food sourced vitamins and minerals. Can you help me out here? Thanks!!

How do you know your ubiquinol is being absorbed?

How does one test CO q 10 to determine deficiency?

Does exogenous CO q 10 stop body natural endogenous production?

Thank You

Les

Comment on How One Can Practice Natural Skin Tightening by Michael Runyan http://vitaminsandhealthsupplements.com/652/how-one-can-practice-natural-skin-tightening/#comment-1150 Michael Runyan Sun, 11 Nov 2012 04:07:11 +0000 http://vitaminsandhealthsupplements.com/?p=652#comment-1150 Our skin is made up of 2 membranes, the underlying layer and the outer layer. A necessary protein called hydrolyzed collagen within the base layer helps to keep the skin firm and supple. But, as people get older, collagen manufacturing is greatly decreased, therefore the skin begins wrinkling and slackening.

Vitamins play a significant part in keeping the body functioning optimally. However, exactly the same vitamins that help us may also hurt us if the overdose occurs. To help people to make sure that enough of each vitamin is consumed without needing to worry about an overdose, the Recommended Daily Allowance (RDA) system was designed to tell consumers the amount of each vitamin ought to be consumed. The RDA system takes gender and age into consideration. Besides understanding the RDA of every vitamin, a man should understand how the vitamin can help his body function properly.
