For bodybuilders and others who wish to eat high in protein, breakfast can sometimes be challenge. For me, cooking the age-old egg cooked in different ways helps keep monotony away. Which is why I’m always on the lookout for healthy breakfast recipes that are also fairly easy and quick to make.
While there is no shortage of egg white recipes, I like the one below because it combines two of my favorite, low-cost muscle building foods; egg whites and chicken breast. This makes it a great meal not just for breakfast but also to eat at the end of the day. You can even make it an easy nutritious dinner (I would throw in some potato or other healthy carb source on the side).
The recipe also uses multicolored peppers and veggies, which will provide vitamins, minerals, antioxidants and fiber. Add in some milk and cheese and it makes a true power meal.
I would use 2% milk over skim milk, but this is just a personal preference. I also find egg whites from real eggs (by removing the yolk) tastier and cheaper. I typically leave a yolk or two in as they have certain nutrients that lack in egg whites alone.
