Another research tested lisnopril and hibiscus tea. Hibiscus tea was found to be more effective in lowering blood pressure compared to lisnopril. Furthermore, participants who consumed hibiscus tea were found to have reduced sodium levels in their bodies.

A third study analyzed the results of taking hibiscus sabdariffa tea with colored warm water. This is to discover if the result was only psychological or if hibiscus really helped hypertension patients. Hibiscus tea is found to be considerably more effective compared to the placebo as the research discovered.

The world supply of hibiscus is generally governed by Thailand and China. Together, these two countries are really the biggest makers of hibiscus.
