The Health Benefits Of Natural Co Enzyme Q10 Supplements

The co-enzyme Q10 is a vitamin-like substance existing in every cell in the body. It is located in our important organs like the heart, kidney and liver where its most critical function is to supply us with energy. Unfortunately, the formation of this important element that the body naturally creates, drops steadily over time as we get into our later years. In addition, several diseases can also reduce the amount of co-enzyme q10 that is produced. Restocking the co-enzyme q10 with a natural supplement has resulted in many different benefits including reducing cholesterol, lowering blood pressure and helping to lessen the chance for gum disease.

Cholesterol

As you probably know, the human body naturally produces cholesterol. To some extent, you can lower your cholesterol with diet and physical exercise. Preferably, you would like to have higher levels of HDL and lower levels of LDL. Sometimes, you need a little help in reducing those LDL levels. A natural supplement could very well help reduce the bad ldl cholesterol by giving protection against the oxidation of the cells. Oxidation of the circulating LDL is thought to play a chief role in the pathogenesis of atherosclerosis, which can lead to a stroke and heart attack.

Hypertension

Many people have hypertension and don't notice it yet which is why it is labeled as the silent killer. Most of the time there are no recognizable symptoms. However, extended periods of high blood pressure can cause damage to your heart and blood vessels. The only way to learn whether you have hypertension or not is to have your blood pressure checked periodically. It is simple and painless to have your blood pressure checked. Most pharmacies have blood pressure machines where you can check your blood pressure for free. However, to get the most accurate reading it is best that it be checked by a health practitioner. As you grow older and your blood vessels harden, it is more likely that you will have hypertension. In some cases you can control your blood pressure by eating a healthy diet, exercising regularly and minimizing your salt and alcohol intake. In clinical studies of patients with high blood pressure, it was observed that CoQ10 has the potential to lower blood pressure.

Gum Disease

Gingivitis is a common oral problem caused by the build-up of plaque. This is the predominant reason for tooth decay in adults. Brushing your teeth and gums regularly with toothpaste can aid in getting rid of the plaque to prevent your gums from becoming infected. Also, studies have indicated that those with gum disease are also lacking in co-enzyme q10. As a result, natural CoQ10 supplements have been found to improve gingivitis. However, it should be noted that supplements are not a replacement for visits to the dentist on a regular basis.

Taking small doses of co enzyme Q10 supplements in a concentrated form can help support the cardiovascular system, increase energy levels, maintain oral health, improve memory and promote a healthy immune system.
